Now all that’s left for you to do is convince us - and vice versa, of course! In this section, we will share important information about the process, helpful tips and answers to frequently asked questions with you to guide you through your application process. 

How does the application process work?

Apply

Have you sent in your application? You will receive a confirmation of receipt immediately to let you know that everything has arrived safely. 

Evaluate

Could you be a good fit? In that case, we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Otherwise, of course as well ... 

Meet

In an in-depth interview - in person or via Teams – we will get to know each other and our respective expectations better.

Confirm

We will contact you again with more info shortly after our initial meeting. We may invite you a second time in order to introduce you to the team. 

Seal the deal

Thumbs up or down? Do we match? If so, you will immediately receive a contract offer from us. 

What should my application look like?

CV, cover letter, references - an application basically always looks the same. Or does it? In general, it's not important to us whether you adhere to a specific application etiquette or not. Keep in mind, however, that your application is, from our point of view, the famous first impression you leave with us - and therefore a vital chance for you to convince us. 

Curriculum Vitae

Of course, the CV is a necessary component of any application.  After all, we would like to know more about what you have done so far. Here are a few tips for you:  

  • Keep it as short and simple as possible.   
  • Start with the last thing you did or are currently doing.  
  • Experienced professionals: Have you already worked in a few different positions? In that case, please limit yourself to the essentials - your elementary school or which school internships you attended are not as important as your professional milestones. 
  • Beginners: You don't think you have anything worth sharing beside your school career yet? Just start by letting us know about your hobbies, social commitment, student exchange programs or other personal achievements. This will give us a good first glimpse into your personality.  
  • It is best to send us your CV in PDF format. 

Cover Letter 

Doing things the old-fashioned way is not your style, and you would rather submit a video to introduce yourself? Ok! Or would you prefer to dispense with the standard formalities altogether? That's also fine. Simply send us your documents in a short e-mail or message. Regardless of your chosen format, it is best to address the following points of interest:   

  • Why are you applying to WTG?  
  • What qualifies you for the position you are applying for?  
  • When could you start with us?  
  • What salary are you looking for?   
  • What soft skills characterize you and how will they help us? 

How can I prepare for a job interview with you?

Have you received an invitation to a personal interview? Congratulations! Following our advice below, you will be well prepared.  

  • Be Yourself.
    Be honest and authentic, show us who you really are. This is the only way we can determine whether you are a good fit for us. 
  • Relate to the Job. 
    Keep the job advertisement in mind and tell us why you think you are the perfect fit - or why you are motivated to become one. 
  • Score Through Knowledge. 
    Have a good look at our website and our social media presence. Get an impression of us, our products and services and use this information to your advantage. .
  • Prepare your Questions.
    What do you want to know about us? Show us your interest by wanting to know more - about our products, the advertised position, daily business or anything else you can think of. 
  • Test the Tech. 
    Is the interview taking place virtually? Our tool of choice for remote meetings is MS Teams. Teams offers special test rooms, in which you can prepare in advance, check whether your hard- and software are set up correctly and adjust your lighting and background if necessary.

How can I apply for a job at WTG?

Can I send you an unsolicited application?

Of course you can! Simply send us an e-mail to bewerberwtg.com or use the contact form on our website. 

How long before my desired start date should I apply?

Do you have a specific date in mind to start your new job? Barring a few exceptions, it’s usually possible to join us on short notice within a few days. 

Is a cover letter necessary for my application?

We place great value on a well-structured and informative CV, so it is quite sufficient to say a few words about yourself in your email - or in a short video. A formal cover letter is not necessary. 

What information should I include in my application?

In general, we require some insights into your previous career, and information on your language skills and whether you have a driver's license. However, the information we need may vary, since it always relates to the specific position you are applying for. To finish off your application, you should include your desired starting date and salary expectations. 

What do I do if I am interested in several vacancies?

Send us your CV and let us know which positions you are interested in. We will then consult with the appropriate department whether your application is suitable for the position in question. 

Why is the position advertised for several locations and which location will I be assigned to?

As our team is spread across Germany, our positions are often advertised for several locations. Which location you will ultimately work at depends both on your wishes and your current place of residence. 

Which platform is used for virtual job interviews?

Our virtual interviews take place via Microsoft Teams. 

I can't make my scheduled interview - what do I do?

Give us a call or send us an email. We will be happy to arrange a new appointment immediately. 

Is it possible to work from home?

Yes, depending on your position in our company and your business unit, you can also work from home or remotely. 

What language skills do I need with you?

Since our company HQ and most business units are based in Germany, a firm grasp of the German language is, of course, welcome. However, with our growing international customer base as well as numerous employees and units operating from outside of Germany, English is our second official language and a prerequisite for most job openings.
