WTG continues to grow: Through the acquisition of the software development company VSF Experts, the WTG Group gathers even more momentum

Berlin, April 12, 2022 – WTG continues to grow with the integration of VSF Experts GmbH into the company. The addition of the international software development company VSF Experts takes the WTG Group another step forward, towards the future. From now on, any and all Digitalization efforts of WTG and its customers will greatly benefit from access to the finely honed skills of the VSF Experts developers and their extensive knowledge as long-established software product specialists.

WTG stays true to its roots – more than 100 years ago, the 'Westfälische Telefon Gesellschaft‘ (Westphalian Telephone Company), originally starting out as a traditional communications service provider, aspired to achieving more than simply "laying the groundwork". To that end, they started developing and manufacturing their own telephones, security systems and alarm devices. Continuing their pursuit of excellency to this day, the name WTG has become synonymous with top-of-the-line solutions and services in the industry. Always moving with the flow of time and technical advancement, WTG is now increasing its focus on developing in-house software solutions and products to further advance on their goal of becoming a major driver of Digitalization for their customers.

WTG started its current growth strategy with an asset deal with Amabo GmbH about two years ago, taking over around 400 rental- and service contract customers in the process. Last year, the acquisition of ComTel Systemhaus GmbH with over 100 employees made WTG the largest Avaya Partner in Germany. At the beginning of 2022, WTG Security Systems received further reinforcements with the acquisition of Schattenberg Sicherheitstechnik GmbH. The company’s most recent addition VSF Experts GmbH is considered to have a major impact on the future development of the company and its customers alike. "Our software development activities, which have now been greatly enhanced, make us a great deal more independent and even more successful in offering tailor-made ICT and security solutions," says Gerrit F. Schütze, voicing the WTG shareholder perspective.

The takeover of VSF Experts GmbH, with its branches in Germany, Poland and the USA, was notarized on April 9th, 2022. The integration of the international company with all of its employees, resources and skills will be conducted smoothly and swiftly in the coming months in order to enable access to the newly gained expertise for WTG network partners and customers as quickly as possible.
